Steps in learning XVCL
We describe XVCL rules in the document XVCL Specifications. This document describes how to create well-formed x-frames. However, it takes more than knowing XVCL rules to create successful XVCL solutions to problems of managing variants in your application domain. For this, you will have to master the XVCL method. While principles of XVCL remain the same in all application domains, the structure of the XVCL solution and the process that leads to arriving at the XVCL solution depends on the nature of application domain and types of variants you want to address. The best way to start is to run a Demo, view Examples and go through Case Studies. You can also browse through White Papers. You will find the rationale for using XVCL and its predecessor frame technology. Then you should read XVCL Specifications and think about the structure of the XVCL solution for your problem domain. Build your solution incrementally. Start working with small sub-problems and simple variants. Once you have a solution for that, gradually extend the scope of experimentation. Our XVCL team will be glad to hear from you about the application domains you try to tackle with XVCL and work with you on specific problems. Contact us whenever you get stuck on problems and tell us about your successes and experience. Access statistic |
